PLAY-…

The series PLAY- is our magic box that opens to different kinds of events through-out the year.

It is not a workshop, nor a lecture, nor a class, but an open setting that allows participants to spend some time in the studio around different focuses.

The space is open for a few hours to anybody who wants to spend a moment together surrounded by books (PLAY-Books), or music (PLAY-Music), or simply dancing together (PLAY-Dance).

In addition to our “classics” (like our popular PLAY-Dance), this format gives a frame for different kinds of tryouts; for example in 2023 we had a PLAY-gender, (an event to ‚play‘ with gender, using costumes and makeup with music from DJ Bimän from the queer-feminist Dj collektiv WUT).

Many other PLAY-...might come up !

PLAY-Dance

PLAY-Dance

PLAY-Dance
is an open dance session of an hour.  The Playground team prepares a Playlist, and opens the studio to dance on, within, and along the songs.

PLAY-Dance is a space for potentials, an invitation to celebrate heterogeneity and non effectiveness together in the space. No phones, no alcohol, no shoes. No experience needed, dance how you like, everybody is welcome.

PLAY-Books

PLAY-Books

PLAY-books transforms the studio into a space full of books and cushions.

The playground team brings a collection of books that are significant in their current artistic researches and processes, as a way to share references and knowledge.

The space is open for a few hours, for anybody to spend the afternoon, or just to pass by for some reading, discussing or tea drinking, (people are welcome to bring their own books along).

PLAY-Music

PLAY-Music

PLAY-Music is the name of our little concerts. A musician is invited to play in the studio.

PLAY-Gender

PLAY-Gender

PLAY-Gender was a special event, an open space/party and ground to ‚play‘ with the idea of gender representation and gender as a performance. A space to meet, to dance, to chat, to dress up, to find your drag persona or just chill. With music from DJ Bimän and make up from drag artist Holey Father, and costumes and books feeding the topic.
